Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Livara, you will play a critical role in advancing our innovative orthopedic care management platform. Your expertise in DevOps practices and technologies will empower our team to optimize system performance, automate processes, and ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our applications. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage automated deployment pipelines, leveraging AWS services such as ECS and RDS, along with Docker for containerization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software applications, enabling continuous delivery and rapid iteration.
• Maintain and enhance infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform, ensuring scalability and high availability of resources.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent and mitigate potential incidents.
• Administer SQL databases, with a focus on PostgreSQL, to maintain data integrity, performance, and security. 
• Develop and implement effective backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and databases.Verify database backups. 
• Drive security best practices by implementing policies on authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance measures.
• Implement intrusion alerts and early warning systems.
• Write and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash) to automate routine tasks, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, sharing knowledge and mentorship within the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a track record of designing and implementing DevOps practices and strategies.
• Strong expertise with AWS services, including ECS, RDS, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL. Experience with query optimization and performance tuning is a plus.
• Proficient in scripting languages, especially Bash, to automate tasks and maintain operational workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system and network issues.
• Security-minded approach, with knowledge of best practices for securing cloud-based environments and data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
